Kenta Takata

Scientist

Kenta Takata joined NTT Research PHI Labs in 2025. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Tokyo for his theoretical and experimental studies on coherent Ising machines. Prior to joining PHI Labs, he worked at NTT Basic Research Laboratories on non-Hermitian photonics, photonic crystal devices, and optical information processing. Building on these experiences, he explores nonlinear nanophotonic devices with unconventional functionalities, investigates their quantum-optical features, and pursues machine learning systems based on such technologies.
