Sam Reifenstein

Research Associate

Sam Reifenstein is a Research Associate in the PHI at NTT Research. Since joining as an intern in 2020, his work has been focused on developing new algorithms and techniques for combinatorial optimization inspired by the Coherent Ising Machine (CIM). His research also involves testing the CIM’s applicability to solve real world problems. Sam received a BS in pure mathematics in 2022 and an MS in applied mathematics in 2023 from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
